Primary Focus Editing

Hi, I’m Helen Lewis. I set up Primary Focus Editing after almost thirty years’ experience in publishing and education.

Before setting up Primary Focus Editing, I spent thirteen years writing educational materials for primary schools. During that time I wrote 91 titles and co-authored 44 more. My published works cover a wide range of subjects and formats, and include library books, teacher resource books, pupil books, workbooks, home study books, and interactive digital materials.

I was inspired to begin writing educational materials after spending sixteen years as a primary school teacher. Over the course of my teaching career I taught the whole primary school age range, from Reception to Year 6.

My professional experience has uniquely qualified me to edit educational materials for primary schools, as I understand what publishers want as well as what teachers need.
